BourjoisKissMass VoxBox

Its just 5days away from Christmas, how crazy is that?I was lucky enough to get another complimentary VoxBox from Influenster, with some more Bourjois goodies!I also have a blog post on the Rogue Velvet Lipsticks that was sent to me by Influenster, featuring all of the shades and a thorough review on the formula which was done recently as well.I decided to do a makeup look with these products, apart from the eyeshadow which is explained later on.

 Healthy Mix Foundation:
I wanted to start out with the foundation first as its been nearly 10years since I last used a Bourjois foundation.I decided to go with the shade Light Beige (No 56) as the description seemed like the closest match to my skintone.
I went with my usual makeup base, which is the L'Oréal Skin Perfection Moisturiser, as it works great for liquid foundations.My skin isn't being its usual self at the moment, but I've still listed the issues that I'm having so it helps:
  • Acne 
  • Redness 
  • Hyperpigmentation on the forehead, cheek and chin

I used 1 and a half pumps to cover my entire face
I blended the foundation with the Zoeva Buffer Brush, which is my favourite for liquid foundations
This foundation is extremely runny, so I wasn't too worried about it drying too fast.Like all of the Bourjois foundations, it smells really nice and its not too overpowering either.It wasn't specified on how to apply this foundation, so I went in with my favourite brush which works great for liquid foundations.When blending, I found that it left a few streaks on my face, despite me going over the same part over and over again.I decided to do the pat method, where I patted the foundation with my brush in circular motions, until it no longer looked streaky.I left it for a couple of minutes, until it dried down and surprisingly, its a very close match to my skin tone.I added an extra 1 and a half pumps for my forehead to try and cover the acne spots a bit more.

After a couple of hours, this foundation left my skin extremely oily.It was oily around my forehead, nose and mouth area, which didn't look great at all.Setting it with a powder does help it last a bit longer, but it still ends up getting oily.Its very medium coverage as it didn't cover my spots that well and adding even more just caused my skin to look even more oily.I've tried this foundation with numerous bases to see if any could fix the issue, but my skin just ended up being an oily mess after a few hours.I honestly don't think this foundation is suitable for those that have oily skin already, but saying that, I don't think its suitable for anyone.Even on the clear parts of my face, it still ended up being oily for me and I just don't think the coverage is that great.I've tried other foundations within the same price range of this one (£5.99-£9.99) and they work a lot better than this.Unfortunately this has to be a pass for me.

Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Concealer:
Next I wanted to try the Anti-Fatigue concealer on top of the foundation, just to see on how well they worked together.The shade of this concealer is in Foncé Dark (No 53) which is a very close match to my Tarte Shape Concealer in the shade Medium.The wand made it super easy to apply and this smells just as good as the foundation, but not as strong.I wanted to blend one side with a brush and the other with a beauty blender.The brush didn't blend it out at all and left a huge streak underneath my eye, whereas the beauty blender worked really well.I normally use a lot more when it comes to concealers, but with the amount that I used in the above photo, gave me great coverage

I've tried a lot of concealers in my life, considering I usually suffer from dark circles when my anxiety was bad the night before and this one isn't that bad.I usually use the Maybelline Eye Eraser, but the shade range is terrible.I prefer the packaging of this one, alongside having many shades to choose from and how simple it is to blend with a beauty blender.This has also replaced my other drugstore concealer and I know this one will last me longer as I don't need to apply a lot to the area.

Metallic Lip Creams/Lip Glosses:

Neon Nights
Supernova

The metallic lips formulas are super creamy and I don't get why they are listed as a "Lip Gloss".The Supernova shade was the most difficult to apply, as it was more streaky.I feel it would work better as a topper, as it just struggled being on its own.Neon Lights is extremely pigmented and I only needed two layers to achieve the full on pink effect.I'm not usually a fan when it comes to glittery or reflective shades, I'm more of a matte lipstick kind of girl, but I actually find these colours really pretty and the formula isn't tacky either.

Push Up Volume Glamour Mascara:
I've used Bourjois mascara's in the past, not having the best experience with them so I was honestly expecting the worst.The formula of this mascara is a lot more thicker than most brands that I've tried, but it doesn't soak the lashes to the point where its gloopy.I feel this mascara gives the illusion of having lash extensions, but still looking very natural.You have to give it a couple of minutes for it to dry and it doesn't leave the lashes hard after setting.
I actually ended up sleeping with my makeup on (I know sorry thats bad!) and the mascara pretty much stayed intact.The only issue that I had was that it obviously left my lashes feeling a bit hard, but that was down to me not removing it.Its fairly easy to remove with a makeup remover and doesn't leave a big mess.I've tried a lot of mascaras and this one is currently my favourite to use when I want to get full, but natural looking lashes.

Quad Smoky Stories Eyeshadow & Blusher
This eyeshadow set is in the shade Over Rose and it consists of a: Prime, Shadow, Define and Highlighter.I ended up using this as a highlighter, using the lightest shade and mixing it with the glitter shade to highlight my cheekbones and collarbones.The reason why I done this, was because the the eyeshadow as a whole, is extremely hard to blend with.I found it a lot more easier to apply the shadows with my fingers as well, instead of the brush thats included in the set and with my own eyeshadow brushes as well.They are very pigmented when swatching with your fingers, but when blending or using a brush, it loses the pigmentation.
Even though I only used two shades to create this simple highlight, you need to set it or it starts to crumble after a couple of hours.I had high hopes for this as Bourjois normally create amazing eyeshadows, but the formula of these are not even near as good as their Intense Eyeshadow Pots.
Lastly I'm reviewing the blusher, which is in the shade Rose d'Or/Golden Rose.For my skintone, this blusher is too pink for me, however I only used a little bit to show you what it looks like on me.As swatched above, its actually a really nice colour and its very pigmented.It also has a scent, which smells like old fashioned perfume, but its still very ice and not overpowering.Like all of there blushes, this goes onto the skin very nicely and actually works with the little brush thats included.Although this shade is not my colour, I still think it gave a nice little pink cheek to my face, without me looking like a clown.The packaging is really cute and I love that it comes with a mirror as well, if you need to touch up your blusher.

Gossard: Superboost, Gloss & Apex

I love doing these kind of posts, because I really hope it encourages other women to feel a little bit more comfortable in their own skin.I always strive to help other women find brands that not only cater for us ladies on the bigger bust and curvier side, but also brands that provide:
  • Body positivity on all sizes
  • Bra/Boobs Support 
  • High Quality 
  • Reasonably priced
I've used Gossard bras in the past, so you can imagine my happiness when I received an email from them asking if I would like to work with them.This isn't a sponsored post/advertisement either, as this is a brand that I truly love and I wouldn't want to charge them for my work.If you saw my instastory on the day that I received the parcel from them, you will probably remember the huge reaction that I had when I opened it up.I had no idea what Gossard were going to send me and I actually assumed it would only be like one bra or something, but HELL NO I was so so wrong.They were very generous to not only send me 10pieces of lingerie, but when I was totalling everything up when writing this, it came to a total of £244 worth of lingerie!It still hasn't sunk in a week later and I'm so excited to share my thoughts on each set.For reference I'm wearing the bra size 34E and thongs/briefs in M.I recommend going up a band size with Gossard and all of the pieces in this blog post, can be found by clicking HERE
Superboost Lace Deep V Bralet & Superboost Lace Thong:

I've never tried on a bra so fast, because I've been eyeing it for such a long time, but always had issues when it came to bralet's with my large size.This bra is a lot more prettier in person, with the beautiful details of the lace around the cups.Inside the cups, you have mesh side panels, which are designed for support and comfort.Added to that, it has a foam sling inside which helped shape my boobs perfectly in the bra, whether I was laying down or standing up, and offers even more support.The hook and eye detail on the front was extremely easy to do, but I recommend adjusting the straps first or get someone to help you to find out what you're comfortable at.

I was pleasantly surprised on how comfortable this bralet is, despite it also having a lace racerback.I was worried that it was going to dig into my skin and not feel comfortable, but its actually the very opposite.Its nice to spend my chill out days in this bralet without my boobs hurting after an hour and its so soft, I just feel really comfortable wearing it.I didn't have to adjust the straps all the way which is a bonus, but I could of if I wanted to.
The matching thong that I'm wearing is extremely comfortable and I felt that it really flattered my figure along with the bralet.I do have quite wide hips and I was worried this was going to sit awkward on them, but this was not the case at all.It has a little bow on the front, with a gold "G" attached to it which makes it super cute.This set is also available in 4 other colours and prices start from £15-£37, depending on the colour.Below I've listed the direct links to this set:

Gypsy High Apex Plunge Bra & Gypsy Deep Shorts:

This set is a very close favourite to the first one that I reviewed, as its one of my favourite styles.I normally struggle to find plunge bras for my size, because a lot of them lack that "needed" support or they don't shape my boobs right, making them not sit properly.The high lace detail thats gone into this bra is ridiculous and pictures really don't do it justice.The foam pads help enhance and give them a bit of a lift (picture below) but nothing thats obvious or too drastic.The foam also helped to cushion my boobs properly and they felt incredibly comfortable, even when wearing it for the whole day!
The shorts reminded me of a retro design, but are replaced with lace details instead.These flattered my figure really well also, giving my body more of an hourglass shape.I feel like I should of maybe gone up to a L, mainly because I prefer to pull up these designs a little bit higher.The back is completely lace and see through, with a very beautiful floral lace design.I was expecting these to irritate my skin as its all lace, but it didn't at all and again these are extremely comfortable to wear.Both are availible in different colours, which you can find on the links below:

Glossies Sheer Moulded Bras & Glossies Thongs
For this set, I used the gorgeous models from Gossard's website, as these are completely see through and I'm not comfortable with my own body being exposed.Out of everything that I was sent, these are the comfiest to wear and they are extremely soft.The sheer cup is super comfy as it feels really silky when wearing and doesn't irritate at all.The support was my least favourite, mainly because the 34E in this style, seemed to be a little too big for me, so my boobs weren't fully supported.I felt a 34DD would of fitted me better, but this is no fault on Gossard and different bra styles can fit in different sizes.
I'm in love with the thongs because the silky feeling is so comfortable.I get a Hollywood done every 4-6weeks, which they recommend to not wear lace underwear or underwear at all for at least 24hours.I'm someone that is mostly on the move and these are the only ones that I can wear, without it irritating my skin afterwards.Obviously its up to you if you decide to do this or not, but if you're someone like me who gets waxed on the regular and you still want to wear something without irritation, I highly recommend these.

Glossies Lace Sheer Bra & Glossies Lace Briefs:
This is the last set, which is also part of their glossie range.The bra isn't moulded like the previous two and the cups are replaced with a beautiful lace design, instead of a net texture.I had the same issue where the 34E size was a little too big, again this is not Gossards fault.It still offered support and it was super comfortable to wear throughout the day.The lace briefs have the same lace design as the bra and are quite stretchy compared to the rest of the range that I've reviewed in this post.

I love every single piece that was sent to me, despite me not fitting into the Glossies range properly.I've paid so much more money for expensive brands, and none of them come close to the quality, price and support Gossards has to offer.The Superboost Lace Deep V Bralet and Gypsy High Apex Plunge Bra are my favourites and I'll be no doubt wearing them constantly, as they're so comfortable.I hope you've enjoyed this Lingerie Diary on Gossard and has helped you make a decision on buying there products.

L'Oréal Paris Merry Metals: Glow Drops Review

The new Merry Metals range by L'Oréal has just dropped and I couldn't help myself but to purchase something.We all know how poor I am (especially when it comes to makeup), so I wasn't able to get my hands on the entire range, but I still wanted to get my hands on one.Five products are part of this range which I've listed below for you, with them only being available to purchase as ASOS at the time of this post:

Merry Metals Glow Drops
Merry Metals Eyeshadow Paint

Merry Metals Lip Paint
Merry Metals Glow Kit

I decided to go with the glow drops, because I absolutely love highlighters and I love comparing it to other expensive brands as well.A lot of brands recently have been coming out with these and I'm so glad that I waited for L'Oréal to release there own.No information about these are on the bottles, but this is what I was able to get from the ASOS website:

  • Glide on smoothly and blend seamlessly
  • Leave a high-shine glow
  • Liquid to powder formula 
  • Precision applicator for easy, one stroke application
  • Longwear formula that lasts throughout the day
The packaging is glass which I really love, as a lot of brands tend to go with plastic packaging.Some are ok, but others feel super cheap sometimes and having a glass one to me makes the quality so much better.The precision applicator is of course a dropper, which I was expecting as the formula is described as a liquid.
The formula is very watery, which I found quite strange as it loses its proper colour once I applied just one drop onto my face.I had to go in 2-3times of droplets until I actually got some colour out of it.The smell isn't really that pleasant either, which I was quite shocked about as normally L'Oréal produce some lovely scented products.This one smells a little bit chemically, and although it doesn't linger after applying, you can always smell it when you take the top off.

Not much information was provided when it came to blending it out, so for the first time I used my finger and the second I used a beauty blender.This was actually really hard to blend with both and actually dragged my foundation with it, leaving it streaky.To me its just too watery and its more of a shimmer, than an actual highlighter in my opinion.Its not that pigmented at all, which again I'm shocked about as L'Oréal usually deliver.It didn't set as a powder after leaving it on my face for 30minutes and even with applying a setting powder on top didn't really do anything.I didn't want to give up on this product just yet, so I decided to mix it in with a foundation to see how that works.It did work a little better at first, only slightly making it luminous, but it then began to break down my foundation,
I decided to do a swatch comparison to another highlighter that I own by L'Oréal, so you can see the different formulas.Both were applied with my finger with one swipe and without a base.Both were left on my arm for 45minutes, with the top formula starting to break down and the other completely set after a few minutes.The formula of the glow drops was still wet after an hour and in no way set as a "powder" as advertised.Out of the two, I would pick the Liquid Illuminator by far, purely because its:
  • Easy to blend
  • Can be used as a primer
  • Very Pigmented
  • Long lasting
  • Lovely scent
  • Cheaper than the glow drops (£6.99-£8.99)
This is the first negative review I've had to give this year on L'Oréal and I really hope they improve on this formula.I'm not going to allow one product to stop me from purchasing the rest of the range, but I'll be honest to say that I'm not as excited as before on trying the rest of them out.I would personally give this product a miss as I think its a waste of money, but of course its up to you whether you decide to pick one up or not.Let me know in the comments if you purchase anything from this range and what you think of it :)

Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation: Tres Leches (320G)

Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation is finally here on my blog and I'm so excited to talk about it.I'm sure many of you are trying to figure out your shade and to see if its worth the £32 price tag.I will try to answer as many questions on this post as possible to help you, but if I do miss anything, please let me know in the comment section and I'll add it to the post :)

I'm going to start packaging first as I know there is a little bit of confusion with it.Although it gives off a glass look, it is in fact plastic.I'm pretty fussy when it comes to foundation packaging and when I saw reviews of people complaining of it feeling like a cheap plastic, I was a little worried.In my opinion, I don't think it feels like a cheap plastic at all, and I'm glad Huda decided to choose this over glass, because their is nothing more devastating than seeing someone drop a glass foundation bottle to see it smash.Its like dropping food!I hope that clears things up on the packaging.

The first thing I had to do, was to completely guess my foundation shade, by finding my undertone with the corresponding shade on the chart.I'm not going to lie, I've never been so stressed in my life all over a foundation shade, but thanks to Huda and her beauty team, they created this chart to help us.I've provided the list for this shade on this post (which is owned by Huda not me) and to see the full list og the other shades, please click here
It was still quite hard for me to figure out my shade, because the majority of them I don't own or they are listed in a lighter or darker shade to me, so I had to use that as guidance.The shade Butter Pecan (330N) threw me off a little, because the NARS foundation Punjab alongside that one is extremely light, whereas I'm the shade Stromboli by NARS which is 3shades darker than Punjab, yet Tres Leches (320G) is above it on the chart.Pretty confusing right?The shade Latte (300N) also has one of my brands with the same shade, which is Kat Von D Medium 54, which is fairly light for me, even during autumn/winter time so I felt that Amaretti (310G) wouldn't be enough still.

Below I've swatched Tres Leches alongside my other foundation shades I use with other brands:
Huda's Tres Leches and NARS Stromboli are nearly identical to each other.What I've noticed with this foundation, is that after you apply it onto your skin, not only does it start to dry very quickly but it also starts to oxidise a little but not orange, just a little darker after a couple of minutes.Its more on the golden side compared to the NARS foundation which is perfect for me.

The formula is mixture of it being thick and liquidy, but not too liquidy where it runs down your hand.Huda recommended using just half to one pump for the whole face, which I personally thought would not work, as I don't have the smallest forehead.The foundation came with a sample of Huda's Complexion Perfection, which is a primer that can be used alongside this foundation.I decided to test it out, just to see if it made a difference when applying the foundation.
I took these snapshots from the first impressions review video that I posted on the 14th.The first image is me feeling my face after applying the primer.It made my face feel plump and supple, not leaving my face feeling sticky at all.You can also see I have quite a lot of acne going on at the moment on my forehead and chin, compared to my usual clear skin.I tend to get dry patches around the mouth during autumn/winter, with it being autumn right now in the UK.I felt this would be the perfect test for those that have skin problems.You can find my video on this foundation by clicking here
This is what my makeup looked like after applying half a pump for my whole face and it really does look like my skin has a filter on it.To apply this foundation, I used my Zoeva 104 Buffer Brush, which I swear by when it comes to liquid foundations.I didn't want to go for a full makeup look as I didn't want to take away the attention from the foundation, so I just applied some concealer under my eyes, mascara, liquid matte lipstick and some highlighter.This foundation is also scented, like it honestly smells really good.I did have a look at the ingredients to try and see what it could be, but its just listed as Parfum/Fragrance.

Huda recommends applying powder under the eyes and laugh lines so the foundation doesn't budge or crease, but I didn't do this as I already finished filming the video.The spot to your left on my cheek, I wasn't expecting the foundation to cover it completely as it was a fresh spot that was extremely bumpy, however it completely removed the redness surrounding it.

Later that night I decided to get some pictures of how my makeup looked after 8-9hours after applying.Each shot was photobombed by Louie and this was taken with the flash on.This is the only one that came out without his head in the way:

My skin stayed flawless the whole day and that was even without applying a setting powder.Nothing budged or transferred and it just looks like I've got a smooth filter across my face.It didn't crease into anything, no clinging to dry patches, nothing.To remove this foundation, I recommend using the Nivea Double Eye Effect Makeup Remover, as this removes the toughest of makeup products without it dragging it all across your face.It only costs £3.59 (£1.75 when on offer) from Superdrug and you don't even need that much to remove it all.

I honestly believe this foundation is well worth the £32 price tag, considering I've paid around the same or more for other brands that don't leave my face looking this good.If you can, I would highly recommend going in-store and trying the shades out, as this shade did oxidise slightly so I can't comment for the other shades.These can be purchased from the following authorised retailers in the UK:

LA Splash UD Wing Eyeliner Review & Swatches

LA Splash have recently released their new UD Wing Eyeliners, which is part of their Ultra Defined range.They were very kind enough to send me these in exchange for a review.This is not a paid/sponsored post and doesn't contain any affiliate links either.I've been a massive fan of LA Splash for a very long time, mostly favouring there liquid lipsticks, so being able to work with one of my favourite brands was truly exciting for me.

I actually had no clue they released new eyeliners, until I opened the PR box.What also fits perfectly with this, is that I've recently just started to practice eyeliner again so being able to try these was so exciting.The rose gold packaging was instantly a favourite of mine, because its already pretty obvious if you've read my other posts, that I'm obsessed with anything rose gold related.I also fell in love with the black sphere packaging that the eyeliner comes in as well, because its matte and I just love how its designed like the UD cream foundation too.

Each one comes with a seal with a little tab for you to be able to lift off and dip your brush in.I found it quite difficult to remove the seal without it getting a little bit messy, which you can see on Enchantress, Nymph and Warlock.The other three I decided to take the product directly from the seal which made it a lot more easier.I feel once I've used a certain amount, there won't be an issue with the product sticking to the seal every time you go to use it.

I've tried a lot of eyeliners in the past that were described as a "mousse" but none of them really were.This formula is pretty much the closest thing to a mousse like texture, but its more on the thicker side, hence the reason it kept sticking to the seal.When I applied it to the brush, it felt like I was applying an acrylic paint onto my skin, but without it drying my skin out.Its also described as waterproof, noting that it will stay put in situations like a first date, mountain climbing, swimming or gaming.I'll be completely honest...there is no way in hell that I would even attempt eyeliner for a first date with someone, because no doubt I would completely mess up my makeup and my nervous shaking hand wouldn't help either.

I decided to see if these were "Waterproof" as advertised, which you can see me demonstrating below:
I might of gone a bit overboard with the water, but I really wanted to test to see how well it worked with water and to see if it was in fact waterproof.All of them were super easy to apply and I only dipped my brush in once for each swatch.Its recommended to allow 3-5minutes to dry, which I think is a reasonable time as the formula is quite thick.

I applied the eyeliner with the Duo Sculpt & Fluff brush that I was also kindly sent from LA Splash, which is designed to apply liquid and powder based products.I remember looking at the brush thinking "I'm so going to mess this up"
I'll hold my hands up, the eyeshadow looks terrible only because I actually put the eyeshadow on after applying the eyeliner.I was worried so much that I would mess up the eyeliner, I went straight in with that first, however applying the eyeliner was super easy.I normally go in with a thin line and build it up, but I just went straight in with a full thick wing.You have to work pretty fast with it, because although it takes 3-5minutes to fully dry and set, it starts to dry after 30seconds from applying.As for the brush, its really easy to remove with a makeup remover or a wet wipe.

To remove the eyeliners, I use my trusty Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover.It breaks down the formula really well and you're not left there swiping over your eye numerous times to get it off.LA Splash also have there own makeup remover, which is called the Vanishing Potion.I have heard very positive things about it, but I'm unable to comment on it myself as I've never tried it.

These are currently only available from LA Splash directly for $16 (around £11-£12 each), but I'm sure Beauty Bay will stock them in the future.I will update this post once they become available to purchase within the UK.

L'Oréal Paris True Match The One Concealer & Mineral Finishing Powder

Every time I'm low on money, L'Oréal end up coming out with new products which I obviously NEED to buy.L'Oréal have been on there makeup game recently and I nearly had everything to complete a whole makeup look, but two important products were missing for me.I'm so excited to talk about these, but the real question is, are these products "worth it?"

I've always struggled to find a concealer for me by L'Oréal that isn't too light, too dark or that hasn't got a pink undertone.I was doing pretty well with just using there True Match Foundation for this, as it pretty much covered most of my dark circles, but its nice to have that brightening look under the eyes sometimes if you get what I mean?There are 14shades available to choose from and because they haven't rolled out at my local drugstores yet, I just had to completely guess my shade.At the time of purchase, there were no guidelines to show which shades suited what skin tones, so it was really hard to work out what the shades looked like.I assumed that you go for the corresponding shade to either your True Match or Mineral Foundation, but nothing was explained at the time, however L'Oréal have now provided images for this to help you.

I decided to take advantage of the 3 for 2 offer at Boots, picking the shades Beige (4.N) and Golden Beige (3.D/W).The beige shade has more of a pink undertone to it, whereas the golden beige has more of a yellow and golden undertones.These concealers are designed to:
  • Correct and even out skin tone
  • Conceal imperfections 
  • Hide signs of fatigue
  • Instantly brighten the under eye area
They are also enriched with caffeine for the above and to fight dark circles (perfect for my anxiety!).The coverage is described as lightweight medium to high, allowing you to build it up for a custom finish.
The applicator reminds me a lot of the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, being extremely soft and flexible.The scent also reminds me of that concealer as well, with the beige shade being slightly more scented, but the smell fades after blending it out.The formulas have a little bit of difference, with the beige shade being more watery, but since this concealer is lightweight and buildable, it doesn't leave it looking cakey.Below is three images showing it just being applied, the second it being dry on the skin and the last one is a comparison with my other products I use as concealers:
Its extremely lightweight and I was fairly lucky to guess the correct shade.I personally prefer to blend it in with a Beauty Blender, as I found the coverage is a lot better.I tend to rub my eyes quite a lot because of my anxiety, and although it didn't budge for a while, it did begin to fade because of this.I did go in with a setting powder which made it stay in place, despite me rubbing my eyes a few times.

The concealer lasted approximately 7hours with no setting powder and 11hours with setting powder.You can apply another layer if you want to, because it doesn't leave it cakey at all.For me it works the best for brightening the eye area, as I sometimes only get 4-6hours sleep, so I end up waking up with panda eyes.I prefer this more to my expensive concealer, as it lasts longer, its lightweight, extremely easy to blend and its only £7.99.I recommend going to your local Boots or Superdrug to find out your shade, as you have 14 to choose from.

I've introduced setting powders to my makeup routine a lot recently so when I saw that L'Oréal have FINALLY made there own, I just had to put it to the test.I don't have many pictures to show of the actual product itself as its pretty much a powder, but I can still show you how it left my makeup looking.This translucent setting powder is designed to:
  • Leave your makeup with a matte finish
  • Controls your skin to stop any shine
  • Enhances and sets makeup without it feeling heavy
  • Prevents the skin from getting oily
  • Skin appears more healthy in 4weeks
My skin type is Normal/Combination, with it getting a bit oily during the summer time.This probably explains another reason why I've had to use setting powders a lot more recently, so my makeup doesn't slide everywhere.All of the other powders that I currently own are yellow, because translucent powders normally left my skin/makeup looking ashy.

The pot containing the powder reminded me of there skincare moisturisers, but this was such a pain to open!It also gets a little bit messy as well, because you literally have to DIP in your brush to get the product out.I prefer to tip some of the powder onto the lid, tap my brush into the powder and apply it like that, as it saves it from getting messy.You don't need to bake with this powder, you literally apply it onto the skin and sweep across it to get that "instant" matte finish.It says to apply it to your T-Zone and forehead, but I decided to apply it all over because I love matte finish looks.
Apart from the highlighter that I have on my nose and my ringlight blaring into my face, it actually left my makeup completely matte with no shine to it.I also used it alongside the golden beige concealer mentioned in this blog post for the under eye area and just look at how smooth it is!My makeup did not budge for the whole day and it didn't leave my makeup looking ashy either.

The only two negatives I can say about this powder is 1. Its a pain to get the powder out without it getting extremely messy and 2. I'm not too keen on the £12.99 price tag.You only get a small amount of product in the pot and £12.99 just seems a little bit too much for me.Don't get me wrong, it works great and we all know how much I love L'Oréal products, but I feel this is a little bit pricey and I'm not sure if I'll repurchase once I've ran out.
