Cantu Coconut Curling Cream

Cantu products are life, especially when it comes to smelling their products, could literally eat it, if it weren't to damage the whole of my insides in the process!.I've been a fan of their Curl Activator Cream for such a long time, and decided to try this cream because of the cheaper price and to see if it was any better.I got this on the 8th of this month (3weeks today), and I have a mixed review on this product which I will explain below for you.

"Defines, conditions, and adds manageability to your curls, leaving them soft, shiny, and deeply moisturised.Made with 100% Pure Shea Butter and formulated without harsh ingredients, Cantu for Natural Hair restores your real, authentic beauty.Embrace your curly, kinky, or wavy hair with Cantu for Natural Hair"

The first time using it, I applied it like I would do with my activator cream but less, as this product has been known to only need a small amount to achieve great curls and also as its so thick..I got a 20p sized amount and applied it to damp hair, mainly focusing on the ends, and doing the "scrunch" motion to define. After 20minutes of air-drying, my hair was limp and there was just zero definition what so ever, but this didn't worry me because I thought this product may need to work in the LOC method which I tried next. This time, I applied some Orofluido hair oil, then the cream and the results were a lot better.Hair was left moisturised up to 8hours and definition up to 6hours.Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, their products smell amazing, and this one is the best so far, a lot stronger and lasting than the activator cream!

Now for the not so good bit.Even though it has been 3weeks, this product started to dry my hair out, which is strange as it doesn't contain sulfates, silicones, parabens or mineral oil.At first I thought it might of been the Orofluido oil, so I switched to coconut oil and my hair was still drying out.I stopped using the cream for a couple of days and my hair was back to its soft self.I started using it again, except this time round, my hair was left with residue and dryness which isn't good at all!I haven't touched this product since, and my hair is doing better without it and also as I've just switched to Redken to replace this.

Will I be using this again? Not likely as this product just isn't for me and my hair.I'm still going to be using the activator cream from time to time, but this coconut curling cream is staying the hell away from my hair.
